Romania Governments Scholarships:

Romanian Government Scholarship is a scheme developed for students of all academic qualifications.

Scholarship beneficiaries are usually provided with the following facilities:

  • You get an exemption from the payment of registration fees or any other fees that is required by application processing, testing for the Romanian language skills, taking admission contest for doctoral studies, and the specific aptitude test.
  • They’ll be financing the tuition expenses for the Romanian language preparatory year.
  • Financing the tuition expenses for the actual studies but of course not more than the duration of a university cycle, corresponding to the study program.
  • You will be granted a monthly scholarship, for students that are enrolled in the Romanian language preparatory year.
  • You will be granted a monthly scholarship, for students that are enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral studies, but not more than the duration of the university cycle.
  • They’ll finance the accommodation expenses that will be located in the student dormitories, within the allocated subsidy that is granted through the budget of the Ministry of Education.
  • They’ll be medical assistance in case of any medical surgical emergencies and diseases with endemic-epidemic potential, in accordance with the legislation in force.
  • They’ll be local, public, ground, naval and underground transport as well as domestic car, railway, and naval transport, in the same condition that is offered to the Romanian student, this is based on the legal provision.
  • An exemption from the payment of the study visa fee.

All of these facilities are granted throughout the study period, as follows:

  • Applicant must be enrolled in the Romanian language preparatory year, during its courses.
  • For the student that is enrolled in bachelor’s and master’s studies, during the academic year and during the legal holidays, but not during the summer vacation. If any student has to stay at the faculty during the summer vacation for any extracurricular activities or if there are some specific legal provisions, the rights are maintained during the summer vacation.
  • For students that are pursuing their doctoral degree, and are enrolled in full-time learning, throughout the calendar year.
  • Another 30 days after completing university studies that last at least 1 year.
